Queering the Jury : Taking Back Decriminalization

When: Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 6:00pm
Where: ASU Tempe, Room BAC 324

If you are in the Phoenix metropolitan area, Outright Libertarians of Arizona is hosting this collaborative discussion with the Fully Informed Jury Association and ASU Students For Liberty. Come find out how juries can do what political action has failed to accomplish.

Our discussion will use Adrien Leavitt's paper "Queering Jury Nullification: Using Jury Nullification as a Tool to Fight Against the Criminalization of Queer and Transgender People" as a starting point. All attendees are encouraged (but not required) to read the paper ahead of time. It is available for free download at: http://digitalcommons.law.seattleu.edu/sjsj/vol10/iss2/2/

Location is ASU Tempe campus in room BAC 324. Please check the Event page on Facebook or contact the organizer at chair@outrightusa.org for more details: https://www.facebook.com/events/934632863234444
