A Multicultural Conversation with the Candidates for Mayor is presented by Phoenix College and ONE Community

The groups listed below will be holding a forum on Tueday, April 19th, 2011 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Phoenix College.

Residents are encouraged to bring their questions to a “A Multicultural Conversation with the Candidates for Mayor" in the Bulpitt Auditorium [map of campus]. The format will include two general questions for each candidate and conclude with questions fielded from the audience.

A Multicultural Conversation with the Candidates for Mayor is presented by Phoenix College, ONE Community, and the Maricopa Community Colleges. Event partners include Arizona Latino Research Enterprise, Arizona Progress, Arizona Small Business Association, Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Arizona Informant, Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc., Echo Magazine, Greater Phoenix Black Chamber of Commerce, Greater Phoenix Urban League, Human Rights Campaign, Latino Perspectives Magazine, Local First Arizona, 'N Touch News Magazine, National Association of Asian American Professionals, National Association of Real Estate Brokers, Native American Connections, National Black MBA Association, Inc. Phoenix Chapter, Univision, and Valle del Sol.  The forum will be taped and re-broadcast on the Maricopa Community College Television Station – MCTV (which is available on Cox Communications channel 115).

Questions for the candidates are also accepted on the ONE Community web site.

Yours truly, Thane Eichenauer, assistant treasurer of the Arizona Libertarian Party, will be a forum participant.  All Libertarians in Phoenix (and the surrounding cities) are encouraged to attend this event.

The City of Phoenix non-partisan primary will be held on Tuesday, August 30th, 2011.  A run off will be held unless the 50% plus 1 vote threshold is met.

If you have recently immigrated to Phoenix from another city such as Mesa and are a citizen of these united States of America you may update your voter registration at ServiceArizona.com.  The Arizona Libertarian Party is currently holding steady at 0.7% of registered voters.  We encourage you to keep your voter registration current and, of course, register LIBERTARIAN (please).
